News for November/Dec 2009…

Well, 2009 is almost at an end. We had a great year, and we’re looking forward to 2010!

Liverpool Court has taken on a massive voice-over project that will see many languages being recorded for a major medical website. We are certainly becoming a destination for clients needing alternate language voice-overs done for broadcast, web presentations and radio transmissions. To this end, we encourage all potential voice over artists (French, English and other languages) to submit their demos for consideration. You never know when your name will be called!

Speaking of voices (get it?), we are having another introduction to voice-over recording seminars happening in January 2010. Learn the techniques, habits and tricks that get the most popular voices more and more work. Contact our voice producer Kristen Johnston here to find out more (kristen@liverpoolcourt.com)

November was closed out with coverage of the annual CASCO variety gala in support of CHEO. Patrick Suter and the crew put on a fabulous show at the Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Ottawa, and raised a crazy amount of money for the hospital – way to go CASCO people! We are very much looking forward to helping out next year again…

The Festival season is in full swing in Ottawa, and at Liverpool Court Studios. As such, we have had the privilege of working with many of the top acts in the world once again.

The TD Canada Trust International Jazz festival (2009 Edition) was a little wet this year, but that didn’t dampen the music at all! Once again, record crowds filled the park and enjoyed the bands, and enjoyed our video work…

The Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest flew into action on July 8th with Jeff Beck, guitar-god, and didn’t stop, with over 250 acts from all over the world. Liverpool Court Studios is providing the video service for 5 stages this year (4 at the War Museum and Lebreton Flats, and 1 at the Byward market), and is busy interviewing the top names in the music business as the festival moves along.

You can see our work with Lynn Saxberg and her Ottawa Citizen video reports, and the Festivals own blog reporter, Joe Reilly.

We will be busy over the next little while preparing some clips from the shows and a few tales of production.

Hang on, much more to come!

P.S. …Keep a watch on this site for a major announcement soon regarding the space here at Liverpool Court Studios, there are great things coming!

Enjoy your summer!
